I’ve got a quirky dad library. A ton of history from ancient to modern; Fantasy and Sci-fi (including comics); Historical Fiction and Military stuff in general. I’m not one for submitting book reviews on Amazon (what’s real these days) but I will share something cool I’m reading regularly here.
Currently I’m fascinated with the Merovingians, and this book, The Dark Queens by Shelley Puhak does an amazing job of recounting a significant portion of that Dynastic period. What’s fascinating is how much this story parallels George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones. It reads more like a fantasy novel than historical fiction.
